KYC ("know your customer") checks confirm you are who you say you are, that you're of legal age, and that you own the card or account the money goes to. Casinos also use them for anti-money-laundering and fraud controls. The Casino Rewards terms (as published on Yukon Gold) say the casino can request documents "following deposits and/or prior to executing a withdrawal" (Yukon Gold terms, checked Oct 13, 2026).
The casino can ask for these after a deposit or before a withdrawal, and "should it be deemed necessary" can ask for copies certified by a notary or registered professional. Documents must be clear and legible (Yukon Gold terms, checked Oct 13, 2026).
The 3-month rule for proof of address is from the Yukon Gold terms (checked Oct 13, 2026). Other casinos may differ, so check their terms.
The Casino Rewards terms list, among the documents a casino can ask for, "Proof of ownership of the financial accounts being used to deposit and/or withdraw from the casino. This would include but not be limited to a copy of the physical card, statement relating to a specific bank account, or relevant screenshots of other online wallets and methods." (Yukon Gold terms and Casino Action terms, both checked Oct 17, 2026; the wording is the same.) An Interac e-Transfer is sent from your own bank account, so the matching document is a statement for that bank account.
Interac describes e-Transfer as a way to "send money directly and securely from your bank account", logging in through "your online or mobile banking app" at a participating bank or credit union (Interac e-Transfer, checked Oct 17, 2026). Interac doesn't issue a separate statement; the record of the transfer is in your bank's statement or transaction history.
A bank statement used as proof usually needs to show your full name, the bank's name, the account the money left, and the date and amount of the deposit. The terms say documents "must be clear and legible", and that if they're "incomplete, obstructed or evidence of tampering" the player must provide more. You can usually cover numbers that aren't needed: see what you can cover below. These are common requirements; we can't promise any document will be accepted.
The account must be yours. Both sets of terms say that if a financial account used to deposit or withdraw "is not in the name of the Player registered on the Casino", the casino "reserves the right to suspend the casino account and or financial account indefinitely". Never deposit from someone else's bank account.
If a statement is rejected, ask support which detail is missing and keep copies of what you sent. Interac isn't listed as a withdrawal method at the Casino Rewards casinos we checked, so your withdrawal will go to another method that may need its own proof of ownership: see whether you can withdraw with Interac and other payment methods.
The terms allow the casino to keep asking "for additional information until [it] is able to successfully verify the Player's identification", and to ask for notarised copies. They don't list source-of-funds documents, but for larger amounts it's reasonable to expect questions about where your money comes from.
If a withdrawal is delayed or withheld after verification, see causes and complaint steps, and for where payouts are sent, why casinos send withdrawals back to your deposit method.
The Yukon Gold FAQ says players who haven't received a withdrawal by a given method before "will be subject to additional verification checks which may take up to 5-7 working days" (Yukon Gold FAQ, checked Oct 13, 2026). That's on top of the 48-hour pending period. The practical tip: send your documents when you first deposit, not when you first want to withdraw.
Unverified accounts can be suspended: see Casino Rewards account suspended or closed.
The terms ask for a copy of the physical card but don't say what you may cover. Ask support exactly what they need, and whether you can hide the CVV and middle digits, before you upload. Only upload through the casino's own account pages, never by replying to an unexpected email.
Usually yes, since checks are often triggered by a withdrawal. But verifying early avoids delays later.
Common reasons are poor image quality, an out-of-date proof of address, or a name or address mismatch.
Use only the casino's secure account upload, check the site's privacy policy, and never send documents in reply to unsolicited emails.
Not published. Ask support at the casino you're joining.
Usually a statement for the bank account the e-Transfer came from, showing your name and the transaction. The Casino Rewards terms name a "statement relating to a specific bank account" as one form of proof of ownership (Casino Action and Yukon Gold terms, checked Oct 17, 2026).
Interac doesn't issue its own statements: an e-Transfer is sent from your bank account through online or mobile banking. Send your bank statement or transaction history showing the transfer, and ask support to confirm what they need.
