Casino Bonus Game Weighting, Explained
By James Burke · Updated Oct 15, 2026 · Terms checked Oct 15, 2026
Game weighting (also called the contribution rate) is the share of each bet that counts toward a bonus's wagering requirement. If you mostly play blackjack, baccarat, roulette or live-dealer tables, weighting matters more than the size of the bonus. This page explains how it works and quotes the rules five Casino Rewards casinos publish. For the playthrough itself, see wagering requirements explained.
How game weighting works
Each game type is given a percentage. A $10 bet on a game weighted 100% clears $10 of wagering. The same bet on a game weighted 2% clears $0.20. The bet still costs the full $10; only the credit toward wagering changes.
Table games (e.g. pokers, blackjacks, roulettes, baccarats), parlour games and all other game types count 2%.
"All Live Casino games, table, parlour or other count 2%."
All Aces Video Poker and Flippin' Awesome Shields of Asgard don't count toward wagering, and no loyalty points are earned on them.
Doubling up on any game doesn't count toward wagering.
The casino can set the contribution for new games "based on game metrics at time of release".
The same terms set 200x the bonus amount for the 1st and 2nd deposit bonuses and 30x from the 3rd. Their own example: a $100 bonus needs about $20,000 in slot bets.

At 2%, every dollar of wagering needs $50 in bets. For a table player, a 200x bonus at 2% weighting works out to 10,000 times the bonus in bets.
What this means for higher-budget players
Table and live players: if you don't plan to play slots, a bonus with 2% weighting is very unlikely to convert. Playing without one avoids the wagering, max-bet and game-weighting rules altogether.
Max bet still applies: single bets of 25% or more of the bonus before play-through is met count as irregular play. In roulette, all chips on the table for one spin count as a single bet.
Restricted bet types: the irregular-play list also includes even-money bets on Sic Bo, Craps and Roulette, using the double-up feature, and minimum-risk, equal, zero-margin or hedge betting to meet wagering (Luxury Casino terms, checked Oct 15, 2026).
